All donors to the SJI Donor-Advised Funds undergo a review to ensure compliance with the SJI’s ethical and governance standards.
The SJI discloses to grantees when and how donors are actively involved in grantee selection, ensuring informed participation.
By offering these flexible Donor-Advised Fund models, the SJI ensures that philanthropic contributions are managed ethically, transparently and in alignment with social justice values.
The SJI provides donors with the highest level of autonomy, as the SJI acts only in an advisory capacity.
This fund is managed by the SJI, with donors providing financial support while ceding control of all grant-making decisions.
This model allows donors, or an external body, to play a role in directing or informing both the Fund’s strategy and grant-making decisions.
